Nicola Mining’s 23 October update said it had completed processing Red Eye Resources stockpile material in September at Merritt Mill. It was waiting for concentrate assays before sale. Under a milling profit-share agreement, Nicola expected associated revenue in the fourth quarter, subject to final assays, a sale and revenue-recognition requirements.

The update also covered Dominion Gold Project feed. Nicola said it had begun arrangements to transport and process approximately 1,300 tonnes at Merritt Mill. Additional gold- and silver-bearing veins had been identified during development, but their significance remained subject to geological evaluation and assays. The release does not say that the material had already arrived or that Red Eye concentrate had been sold.

Nicola’s facility profile describes Merritt Mill as a fully permitted custom-milling operation with tailings storage on roughly 980 acres near Merritt, British Columbia. The company says the plant can currently process 200 tonnes per day through crushing, grinding and flotation, with a 500-tonne-per-day capacity described as forthcoming. It identifies the site as the only facility in British Columbia permitted to process third-party gold and silver feed from across the province. Since 2021, Nicola says it has added gravity-jig separation and concentrate-tabling equipment, supporting several gold and silver concentrate streams.

This background explains the mill’s role in the current update: it is an existing shared processing asset receiving material under commercial arrangements, not a new plant project. Nicola’s website also lists several feed partnerships and says it sells concentrates through an offtake contract. The October release leaves the two current commercial milestones—final assays and sale—outstanding, so it gives no realized revenue from Red Eye and no confirmed Dominion processing result.

Nicola’s profile dates mill and infrastructure development to 2012 and reports later upgrades to gravity-jig recovery and concentrate tabling. The same profile lists arrangements with Blue Lagoon Resources and Osisko Development and says concentrates can be sold through a purchase contract with Ocean Partners. These details show how a custom-milling asset can pool third-party feed and processing services; they are background to the business model, not an announcement that either partner supplied the Red Eye stockpile or that any new mill expansion has been approved.
