L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Onshore has signed the contract for a gas compression facilities project for a client in the Middle East, against a letter of award issued in fiscal 2026, Larsen & Toubro said on 24 August 2026 in a press release filed with BSE and the National Stock Exchange of India. The filing does not name the client.
The engineering, procurement and construction scope covers gas compression plants with gas inlet facilities, gas compression systems, condensate and produced-water handling, propane refrigeration and the associated utilities, built as new onshore installations to process sour gas.
L&T’s Power Transmission & Distribution business will build two 230 kV extra-high-voltage substations to supply the plants.
The contract marks the start of a strategically important project that will add significant gas compression capacity and utility infrastructure.
L&T did not publish the price. Its order classification puts “ultra-mega” contracts above ₹15,000 crore.
