Larsen & Toubro's Public Spaces, Airports & Health (PAH) business has secured a Limited Notice to Proceed (LNTP) from the PPP consortium developing the New Tashkent International Airport in Uzbekistan, according to a company release dated 19 October 2026.

The LNTP was issued after the execution of an EPC contract, awarded to L&T earlier, for the construction of the passenger terminal and associated landside infrastructure of the greenfield airport.

Under the LNTP, L&T has begun initial engineering, detailed design, planning, procurement preparation and other pre-construction activities. The consortium is to issue the Notice to Proceed for the full project scope once the agreed conditions precedent are fulfilled, and site construction will follow.

L&T's scope covers site grading, road infrastructure, structural works, architectural finishes, MEP services and utilities. The release says the terminal will serve about 17 million passengers a year. No contract value is disclosed.
