Bloom Energy reports Q3 revenue growth and raises 2026 guidance

Bloom reported $1.236bn in Q3 revenue and increased full-year revenue guidance to $4.4bn–$4.6bn, while describing rising demand for distributed power.

Bloom Energy reported third-quarter results on 22 October, recording US$1,235.8 million of revenue for the three months ended 30 September 2026. Revenue rose 138.1% from a year earlier, while product revenue reached US$1,073.6 million. The results provide a financial indicator for a supplier of on-site generation equipment used by large electricity consumers.

Quarterly results and the full-year outlook

Gross margin was 33.8%, compared with 29.2% in the year-earlier quarter. GAAP operating income was US$225.4 million and diluted earnings per share were US$0.78. On the company’s adjusted basis, operating income was US$285.7 million and diluted EPS US$0.94. These accounting measures have different definitions and should be read separately.

Bloom raised full-year revenue guidance to US$4.4–4.6 billion, a company forecast rather than booked construction value. Management attributed the revision to year-to-date performance and customer demand, while describing continued investment in capacity and capabilities. The quarterly figures do not establish how much revenue came from individual AI campuses.

How the generation equipment fits a data centre

Bloom’s technology description sets out a modular solid-oxide fuel-cell system. Individual cells are combined into stacks, stacks into modules, and multiple modules into an Energy Server. The platform converts fuel electrochemically rather than using combustion to drive a generator. Bloom identifies natural gas, biogas and hydrogen as possible fuels.

The company describes applications including primary power, microgrids and heat capture. Those are product capabilities, rather than a specification for every installation. Fuel choice, emissions management and the configuration of an individual site remain relevant when comparing on-site generation with other power supplies.

A disclosed project provides infrastructure context

In an April 2026 announcement, Oracle and BorderPlex said the Project Jupiter AI campus in Doña Ana County, New Mexico, would use up to 2.45 GW of installed Bloom fuel-cell capacity. They described a revised design replacing previously planned gas turbines and diesel generators with one microgrid campus.

That earlier project announcement illustrates the scale of infrastructure for which Bloom’s equipment has been selected. It is separate from the October earnings release: the capacity is an announced project design, not proof that the entire installation was operating during the third quarter. The financial results and project plans therefore answer different questions about the supplier’s business and the eventual delivery of power.
