Technip Energies reported its unaudited results for the first nine months of 2026 on 29 October. Under its adjusted IFRS presentation, revenue reached €5,596.7 million, compared with €5,417.1 million a year earlier. Adjusted recurring EBITDA was €384.7 million against €478.0 million, while the corresponding margin declined from 8.8% to 6.9%. The results therefore combine higher revenue with lower year-to-date earnings on the company's recurring measure; they should not be presented as uniform growth across all financial indicators.

Adjusted order intake totalled €14,128.3 million and adjusted backlog reached €24,506.8 million. The company confirmed its conditional full-year guidance, assuming current operating conditions persist for the rest of 2026. Management also maintained its ambition to exceed €800 million of annual EBITDA by 2028. That later figure is an outlook, not earnings already generated during the reported period.

The reporting basis matters. The release separately provides statutory IFRS and adjusted figures, so values from the two presentations should not be combined into one comparison. Similarly, a backlog at a reporting date and orders booked over nine months measure different things. Neither can be substituted for revenue earned during the same period, even when all three describe the scale of the business.

For EPC Feed, the important delivery question is how the expanded workload translates into execution over subsequent periods. A large order book creates future engineering, procurement and construction obligations, while the revenue and margin figures describe progress already recognised. Reading these measures together gives a fuller picture than using the headline order intake alone as evidence that every future project will deliver the same level of profitability.

The release is consequently a new financial reporting milestone, distinct from the individual project awards previously announced by the company. Subsequent results will show how the backlog is converted into activity and how operating conditions affect delivery. The current evidence supports the reported nine-month totals and conditional outlook, without turning management's longer-term ambition into a guaranteed outcome or treating the order book as cash already received.
