Samsung E&A has signed an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract with SABIC Agri-Nutrients for the SAN-7 project in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The company's release, dated 11 September 2026, says the signing ceremony was held on the afternoon of 9 September at SABIC's headquarters in Jubail.
Samsung E&A says the contract is worth KRW 4.7 trillion, about USD 3.5 billion, and that it will carry out the EPC work exclusively. Completion is scheduled for 2030.
The release says the company has executed major petrochemical projects for SABIC since 2003, including projects for ethylene oxide and ethylene glycol and for polypropylene. It says the SAN-7 project was awarded in recognition of that performance, including the ability to shorten construction schedules.
The release does not give the plant capacity or the financing arrangements for the project.
